Manicure with volume monograms

Today we will tell you how to make perfect 3D patterns on nails, even if you do not have any suitable brushes, materials, and skills at hand.

To perform this manicure we will need:

• Base and top for gel-polish and fixing of slider-design;
• Colored gel-polish;
• Slider design with 3D effect (we used nail decal 3d62);
• Scissors;
• Tweezers;
• Water;
• The buff;
• Lamp for polymerization;
• Liquid for removing the sticky layer.

First you need to prepare the nail plate as usual, apply the base, if necessary, strengthen and align the nail plate. And then apply a colored gel-lacquer. We used gently pink and blue gel-polishes from NeoNail (shade 3648) and Formula Pro (shade 705). Gel-polish is applied to a dense coating, if desired, you can make a gradient.

In order to get beautiful monograms, we take a 3D slider from BPW (number 3d-62 mini).

This slider design is a habitual elastic film, which is put on the nail plate, only this film has a three-dimensional pattern. This pattern is flexible enough to repeat the shape of the nail plate, but it is also brittle enough to break it, bending it in half, so we work with it neatly. Also we would advise you to cut out not strictly along the borders of the picture, but with an indentation of several millimeters, so that the area of the film was larger, so it will lie more flat on the nail plate and it will be easier to work with a volumetric pattern.

To fix this type of slider-design, we used the technique "on a wet base."

First of all, we put a thin layer of the base (we used the base from MollonPRO) and put a prepared design on the wet base. Carefully leveled it, paying special attention to small areas between monograms: all this must be carefully smoothed out. If you can not make it with an orange stick, you can try a toothpick (only work gently, just smoothing the film, and not catching it).

After the design is snug against the nail plate, dry it.

After drying, you can repeat another layer of the base, but apply it in a very thin layer, so as not to destroy the effect of volume. Enough is only a layer of top, since the film itself is very thin and easily fixed. Carefully working the entire area of the film, we, squeezing the brush well from the top, trample down the motions in the very drawing to also protect it with a coating, but do not align the relief.

After that, dry in a lamp and remove the sticky layer.
