Mint manicure with cotton

When it's ugly and chilly on the street it's time to create a spring mood for yourself on the nails. And one of the most popular spring shades is considered to be mint. Today we will create a gentle mint design with cotton sprigs.

To perform this manicure, we need:

• Base and top for gel polish;
• Color gel polish;
• 3D slider design;
• Scissors;
• Water;
• Tweezers;
• Silicone brush;
• Liquid to remove the sticky layer;
• Paper napkin to remove moisture from the slider;
• Lamp for the polymerization of gel varnish.

As usual, align and strengthen the nail plate base.

We chose Cristina mint gel varnish (shade 1628) as the main color.

For design, we take a slider from BPW (number 3d-78mini).

First, cut cotton pieces, which we will decorate the nails.

Next, we apply any loose base on the color coating, and in parallel with this, immerse the design in water, soak it through a paper napkin and separate it from the substrate.

We put a slider design on the undrawn base. It doesn’t really move it, as the base very quickly dissolves the film. In this method, this is undoubtedly a minus, if we talk about convenience. But, on the other hand, it is the melted film that is guaranteed to be smoothed on the surface and all the unwanted air bubbles leave it. We just have to press some parts of the design with a silicone brush. After that we dry.

We recommend using the “on wet base” method with 3D sliders, since it is rather difficult to fasten them on top, because it is important for us not to destroy the volume.

But not to fix at all either. Firstly, the melted film gives the effect of a wave, which means that there will be very uneven highlights, and secondly, the design is dull, which means it can accumulate dirt in itself, and thirdly, the top is necessary.

Take the top and squeeze the brush well. This is done in order not to fill the volume with the top. And trampling through the entire nail plate, covering the nails with a thin layer of top.

Dry and remove the sticky layer.
